Q: How is JADE delivered?
A: JADE is available as a PDF download from our web site. Each
month you will be sent an email with your unique password for access to that
month's issue. You then simply download the file to your computer and open it
using the password.
Q: When will I receive JADE?
A: Once your subscription payment has been received,
you will be sent an email with your first password (if you subscribe after April, you will get the passwords for all the available
issues.
Q: Will JADE appear on my credit card statement?
A: No. Only our company name (Great Northern Publishing) will
appear. You should be aware that on many card and bank statements it is often
abbreviated and this can cause some confusion.
Q: How do I pay in British Pounds
Sterling?
A: When paying by credit card just enter the amount as shown and your credit card company will do the currency
conversion for you: it will be shown correctly on your card statement. (Some
card companies make a charge for the conversion.)
Q: Is JADE available in other languages?
A: No. JADE is only available in
English.
Q: Can I buy JADE from other
websites?
A: No. JADE is only available via subscription as a PDF download direct from ourselves.
Q: What personal information do you have on
file?
A: We retain
your name, address, phone and email on computer so we can send you your passwords.
Q: Do you keep my credit card details on computer?
A: No. Once an order is processed we do not keep card details
on computer for security reasons.
Q: Why do you need my phone number?
A: We require a land-line phone number in case there are any
problems in processing your order so that we can resolve matters quickly. We do
not accept orders where only a mobile number is given.
Q: Will you contact me for anything
else?
A: No. The number is only for resolving problems with orders or
subscriptions.
Q: Will anyone else have access to my information?
A: No. We do not share, sell or hire our mailing and subscriber
lists to anyone. Neither are we part of a group, so your information will not
be shared or used elsewhere.
Q: How will I know when to renew my subscription?
A: At the end of the year every subscriber
receives an email reminding them to renew. There will also be a reminder inside
the last issue of the year.
Q: What does 'uncensored'
mean?
A: That JADE features what are
often referred to as both 'soft' and 'hard core' images. We do not feature
illegal images, but we sometimes feature erotic hard core images showing consensual sex acts between adults.
Q: Is JADE illegal in the UK?
A: No. Thanks to European Union
laws, adults in the UK are now treated as adults and can own and view material
which was once 'forbidden'. However, we do not feature anything which is still
illegal such as underage sex acts, or bestiality, etc. And the magazine is only
for persons over 18 years of age. It is an offence to show it to minors (those
under 18) - so please ensure your computer and password are secure.
Q: Does that mean you show sex images?
A: Yes. Provided they are in keeping with the
erotic ethos of JADE. Occasionally we show consensual sex acts,
sex acts between partners of the same sex, as well the erect penis, oral sex
and penetration. But this is not the primary feature of Jade-pdf, which is
first and foremost an 'erotic' magazine, not a hardcore sex
magazine.
Q: Is JADE pornography?
A: The answer to that is subjective, as everyone's idea of what
is pornographic is different. Neither we, nor our growing legion of subscribers
think so. However, we appreciate that there is a fine line between good
and bad taste and that there will be some who disagree with erotica in any
shape or form.
Q: Who can view the magazine?
A: You must be over 18. The magazine is for your own personal use
and sharing it with other people is deemed a breach of both copyright and the
terms of your subscription. It is an offence to show it to minors (those under
18). By purchasing a copy or subscribing you are confirming you are over 18.
Q: What about security of the file and
password?
A: Once you have the password and downloaded the file
you are responsible for their security on your computer. You should take all
steps to ensure that no other person - especially those under 18 and those
easily offended by adult material - can access or see the file or have access
to the password.
Q: Are you a foreign company or part of group?
A: No. We are British - a small, award-winning family company and have no links or connections to any other company either
here, or anywhere overseas.
Q: How do I subscribe?
A: Just visit our subscription page and follow the instructions. Please note, you will be required to download a test
file to ensure you can obtain the magazine before we allow you to proceed to
ordering. You also have to agree to some basic terms and
conditions.
Q: Can I subscribe by telephone or by post?
A: Yes. Please telephone 01723
581329 during normal office hours and ask to subscribe to Jade-pdf -
please note, you will need the Confirmation Code printed on page 3 of the sample test
download file to place an order - this ensures you have successfully downloaded
the file. If you want to print and send an order form please visit the subscriptions page to download one. |

Navigation only takes place in the magazine and you will not be connected to the internet.
Q: The text does not appear clear, it is broken up.
A: If this happens it may be due to the settings inside Adobe
Acrobat. To ensure the text is clear and smooth, you should open the magazine
in Acrobat Reader, got to 'Edit', then to 'Preferences', then to
'Display' and select 'Smooth Text', 'Smooth Line' and 'Smooth
Images' - this should allow you to view the magazine properly.

Q: Can I purchase images from the
magazine?
A: Yes. Please contact the contributor directly. Use the Directory at the back of the
magazine to find their contact details. Tell them you
saw their work in JADE magazine. Most contributors are delighted to
hear from readers and like the feedback they get. Most also offer their work
for sale either as original artworks or as high quality prints.
Q: I am a Guild Member without the password?
A: There are three possible reasons. First, we may not
have your current email address. Second, your email filter may be set to regard
our emails as spam. Third, your details may not have been sent to us by the
Guild. To resolve issues one and three, please contact the
Secretary of the Guild, confirm your email address and ask him to process your
membership details so you can receive JADE. To resolve issue two, please
reset your email filter to allow our emails to reach you.
